Reon van Tonder (land owner, outfitter and guide) never wears shoes thus the name African “Barefoot” Safaris. He is passionate about the land and the animals.
His love and knowledge for hunting is contagious. Reon is an accomplished hunter (Bow Tech staff shooter) and ph who guided hunters from all walks of live. You start out as a client but soon turn into friends. Reon will literally go the extra mile to ensure each client is completely satisfied with his/her hunt.
We offer over 25 species to hunt with 15 to be seen here on the property. Compound, long and cross bow, rifle, shotgun, front-loader or pistol we have hunted with it all.
Reon and his wife Elmay (office, camp and kitchen manager) makes a superb team. Elmay is enthusiastic about sharing Africa with hunters and observers. She personally host clients to other activities, side tours, sightseeing and will gladly assist with any special requests

We proudly offer our clients a eco-friendly, private camp in the bushveld with all the luxuries you need. This was the brain child of Reon and Elmay. The camp was build in unison with the bushveld. Our dream was to keep it as natural and comfortable a possible. The camp was build using local service providers, rock and sand from the property itself. We also used indigenous plants that use less water and are sustainable in these African conditions
To all our observers and hunter who would like to add something extra to their African Trip we offer a variety of extras’.
We invite our non hunters to enjoy relaxing in the African Sun next to the pool overlooking the beautiful bushveld.
With a watering hole close to the camp you will be able to take some stunning photos and enjoy the interaction with the game.
Observers are welcome to join the Professional hunters while dropping of and picking up the hunters and trophies at the blind.
This will give you time to see the animals on the game drive there and back and also enjoy the excitement and photo sessions
after each successful hunt.
We would highly recommend spending a day in the hunting blind to be able to see and experience the animals up-close and
get fantastic pictures.
